I know what you mean I am the same way with online card games. I think you have to just play a lots and lots of games and play advanced games with the computer and then advanced with other players. Thats how I did it.

There are some key differences when playing poker online, as the other answers stated. This requires a different strategy than playing poker on a live table. I’ve been playing poker online profitable for a couple years now and can’t stand the slow pace of the casino games here in Vegas. I can’t give you a complete answer in this small space, but if you check out my site there is a free online poker school I listed it in the sources if you would like to take a look. See you at the final table!

One thing to keep in mind is that you will have more people chasing you online because there is less embarrassment when they make stupid calls. I would play tighter and more aggressive. With more hands dealt per hour online, those extra loose bets can really add up quickly.

The other thing I would do is try to find some of the weaker online poker rooms. Stay away from the brands that are pitched by the pros like Ultimate Bet. Those places are a lot tougher. Find online poker rooms that are full of casino and sports book players instead. The competition is easier there. If you are looking to find a new poker room to play at, the reviews at http://www.DOMIN8POKER.COM may be helpful to you. Good luck!
