Sam Trickett Takes Three Trophies in 2012 British Poker Awards


Sam Trickett was quite the popular man at the 2012 British Poker Awards. The British poker pro was honored with three trophies throughout the ceremonies.

The British poker community assembled for the 2012 awards and Trickett, who has been successful over the past year on the international poker circuit, was nominated for two awards in which the community voted upon. Trickett definitely came out on top as the “Best Tournament Player” and the “Best Cash Game Player”. He beat out several other big names in the poker industry such as Chris Moorman, Chris Brammer and Roberto Romanello.

The coveted title of “Player of the Year” was the award that was on everyone&s mind. This vote is unanimous by a panel of judges rather than by the votes of the fans. With all his brilliant success, Trickett was the natural choice to vote for. The runner up was Antonio Esfandiari.

These three new give Trickett a grand total of five British Poker Awards. He was honored as 2010 Best Newcomer and 2011 Best Cash Game Player.
